Dylan Thomas Festival - Swansea's tenth annual Dylan Thomas Festival takes place between the writer's birth and death dates. The celebration will feature the usual eclectic mix of poetry, prose, drama, film, exhibitions, talks and special guests, with at least one event every day. The international festival focuses not only on Thomas' work, but that of his friends, contemporaries and those inspired by him.

A picturesque village nestling to one side of Swansea Bay, Mumbles is the gateway to the gower peninsula. The village is perhaps best known for the Mumbles Mile, a mile of pubs full to bursting with students and hen nights at the weekend. The Dylan Thomas Centre -This Fringe venue was refurbished in 1995 to host the British Year of Literature. This splendid building was named after Swansea's most famous poet, and has a permanent exhibition on Dylan Thomas and his life, as well as a shop stuffed with books, posters and memorabilia, and an excellant restaurant. The Centre is also home to the Ty Llen literature programme which puts on many literary events throughout the year, including the annual Dylan Thomas Festival during October and November.
The Dylan Thomas Theatre - Home to the Swansea Little Theatre. They are an amateur dramatics company, and have existed successfully since the early 1920's. Their multitalented company is also a charity, and is run and maintained entirely by it's dedicated volunteers.
